Simple Lemon Butter Gnocchi
Gnocchi wrapped in a simple, delicious lemon butter sauce.

- 500 grams gnocchi uncooked
- 4 tbsp butter
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 lemon zested
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Parmesan cheese for garnish optional
Cook gnocchi according to the directions on the package. Drain, reserving a ½ cup of the starchy cooking water.
In a large skillet or pot, heat butter on medium.
Add the garlic and cook for 2 minutes or until it is fragrant. Be careful not to let it burn.
Add cooked gnocchi and toss to coat it in the butter.
Pour in the ½ cup of starchy pasta water and add the lemon zest.
Add salt and pepper to taste and stir to combine.
Serve immediately with parmesan cheese (if using).
